Press Cafe in Clearfork.
Felipe Armenta and his FAR Out Hospitality are opening a second location of the popular Press Cafe, this one in Aledo, city officials said recently.
The site is at 109 S. Front Street, formerly the location of Bistro restaurant. This new addition, according to a release, is another step in the Aledo’s ongoing effort to revitalize and redevelop its downtown area.
The Press Cafe is expected to open its doors in Aledo this fall. The original Press Cafe has flourished since opening in Clearfork off Edwards Ranch Road in 2016.
“We are excited to bring Press Cafe to the Aledo foodie community and introduce our unique take on contemporary American classics,” said Armenta, president of FAR Out Hospitality. “Our team has put in a lot of hard work to ensure that our guests have a memorable dining experience, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
The second Press Cafe locale will feature a menu curated by Armenta and Graham Elliot, the eccentric chef known for his vibrant fashion choices and outgoing personality, who gained renown on “Iron Chef,” “MasterChef,” and their spinoffs.
The restaurant’s interior design will feature a full bar with wines both by the glass and by the bottle, locally brewed bottled and draft beers, as well as hand-crafted cocktails, according to a press release.
“Press Cafe is an exciting and welcomed addition to our community,” said Aledo Mayor Nick Stanley. “As one of the most popular restaurants in the metroplex, Press Cafe’s outstanding reputation and exceptional fare will be an economic driver for Aledo and will serve our residents and visitors well.
“Press Cafe and the FAR Out Hospitality team have a reputation as one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s best hospitality and restaurant groups, providing outstanding food and drink for loyal patrons. I know our residents eagerly await its opening later this year.”
FAR Out Hospitality operates several well-known restaurants in Fort Worth-Dallas, including Tavern, Pacific Table, The Grill, Maria’s Mexican Kitchen, Towne Grill, Cowboy Prime, and the soon-to-open Le Margot on Hulen Street and F1 Smokehouse.
He made big news last year in announcing that Elliot would join him to lead Armenta’s planned new steakhouse, The Duke, in the Stockyards’ Mule Alley, and other new ventures.
Armenta opened his first restaurant, The Grill, in San Angelo. He and his partners expanded to Fort Worth and other cities.
