Cantey Hanger
Associates Tiereney Bowman, Devon Davis, and Jazmine Nowlin, May graduates of their respective law schools, have joined Cantey Hanger, LLP.
Bowman graduated from SMU’s Dedman School of Law after having earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations at The University of Texas. At SMU, she was the senior articles editor for the Science and Technology Law Review and co-president of the Black Law Students’ Association.
She has clerked, interned, or volunteered with Gray Reed, LLP, Genesco Sports Enterprises Legal Department and McCathern Law Firm in Dallas; PepsiCo Inc. in Plano, and with Dedman School of Law’s W.W. Caruth Child Advocacy Clinic, which represents abused and neglected minors in temporary managing conservatorship cases.
Davis graduated from Washington and Lee School of Law in Virginia. While there, she clerked for Judge Robert M.D. Turk in the Montgomery Circuit Court of Virginia and was president of the Staples Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, international law fraternity.
She earned a bachelor’s in politics with concentrations in law and justice, and citizenship and political action from Sewanee: The University of the South in Tennessee. At Sewanee, she played field hockey and competed in the 2016 Division III Championship.
Davis is originally from Fort Worth, having attended K-12 at Fort Worth Country Day.
Her previous experience includes working as a legislative assistant in the Tennessee House of Representatives, interning for Tune, Entrekin & White, PC in Nashville, and clerking for John Allen Chalk at Whitaker, Chalk, Swindle & Schwartz, PLLC.
Nowlin graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., and earned the MacRae Law Scholarship. She spent spring 2023 as a visiting student at SMU’s Dedman School of Law.
At Georgetown, she was active in the Women’s Legal Alliance; the Corporate and Finance Law Organization; Student Fellows Program for the Georgetown Center for the Constitution; The Veterans Consortium Clinic; and the A-Wing Women in Aviation. In addition, she had internships with the Veteran Affairs Court of Appeals Litigation Group and Bose, McKinney, & Evans LLP.
Nowlin earned her bachelor’s in international business from Pepperdine University, and an additional Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Pepperdine’s Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution.
