Operio Group
As a part of his visit to Operio Group on Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Marc Veasey took a tour of the company's facility and visited with employees.
Fort Worth-based Operio Group on Wednesday hosted U.S. Rep. Marc Veasey, a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, at its corporate offices and warehouse in the Carter Industrial Park in south Fort Worth.
The purpose of the visit, the company said, was to reinforce the relationship between policymakers and industry leaders, while underscoring a “pivotal advancement in bridging the gap between the policy world and industry realities.”
The opportunity allowed Veasey, a Democrat from Fort Worth, to gain a firsthand understanding of the operational intricacies, challenges and opportunities the chemical distributor faces. Objectives focused on addressing policy-related questions, resolving concerns, and fostering a better understanding of the growth in Dallas-Fort Worth, the company said in a press release.
“It is extremely important for elected officials to see firsthand the contributions made by their constituents to the local economy,” said said Eric R. Byer, President and CEO of the National Association of Chemical Distributors, which counts Operio among its membership. “NACD takes great pride in facilitating site visits between our members and their representatives. We sincerely appreciate the efforts of the Operio Group in advancing the chemical industry, and we are grateful for the impactful work they do every day.”
The visit included conversations with executives after a tour of the warehouse and corporate office. The itinerary also included interaction with Operio Group personnel.
“We started in Fort Worth in 2016 with five people,” said Alastair Sanderson, CEO of Operio Group. “We now have over 90 team members. As Texas continues to grow, our focus is to remain in Dallas-Fort Worth and leverage its expansion by hiring the right people with the right motivations.”
Operio was launched in 2022 and started from the seeds of LFA Machines and Vivion Inc., founded in 1957. Vivion is a leading supplier of ingredients for nutritional, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, cosmetics, personal care, agricultural and industrial markets. Compression Components & Service is another brand.
“It’s amazing to see what’s here,” said Veasey. “It’s fascinating to see how modernized chemical production is.”
