The men's apparel retailer Johnnie-O, which bills itself as "SoCal vibe meets East Coast Classics," will open its first Texas store later this month at the WestBend shopping center in Fort Worth.
The Los Angeles company, which sells through its own stores and other retailers, including ones in Fort Worth, will have a grand opening March 25, with Founder John O'Donnell and Chief Creative Officer Chris Knott on hand. Sales through the weekend will benefit The Women's Center in Fort Worth.
O’Donnell founded the company in 2005, offering a range of apparel and accessories for men. Trademark Property Co. in Fort Worth owns WestBend.
“Trademark is thrilled to welcome johnnie-O to WtBend’s fresh and evolving retail line-up,” Terry Montesi, Trademark CEO, said in a release. “With their first brick and mortar location, johnnie-O will bring a casual east coast and southern California sensibility to Fort Worth. This innovative brand exudes cool and we believe it will be a huge hit in this market and beyond.”
The company's collection includes polos, sport coats and button-downs, pants, outerwear, footwear, and accessories.
“We are very excited about our new store and partnership in Fort Worth," O'Donnell said in the release. "The community has always been a big supporter of johnnie-O, and now they will have the opportunity to visit us on a more personal level. Though I think we may need to load up on more purple."
