The Real Estate Council of Greater Fort Worth last week announced the recipients of four prestigious awards honoring those who have made significant contributions to the Real Estate Council, commercial real estate, and the community at its Annual Meeting.
Christian Hibbs, senior vice president of Frost Bank, was selected the Outstanding Young Leader. Bob Morgan, a member of the Fort Worth Fire Department, was presented the Excellence Award. Jeff Postell of Post L Construction was presented the Danny Scarth Member Impact Award. And Terry Montesi of Trademark Property Company was the recipient of the Susan A. Halsey Founder’s Award.
“The work these four gentlemen have done for The Real Estate Council and our community is unprecedented,” said Joel Heydenburk, chairman of the board for the Real Estate Council. “Our community is better because of their dedication to Fort Worth, Arlington and Tarrant County.”
REC of GFW is made up of more than 630 members from more than 250 companies who touch all facets of commercial real estate development. In addition to conducting events and programs benefiting members, REC of GFW addresses policy issues that affect development.
Morgan serves as the senior fire protection engineer at the Fort Worth Fire Department. With a principal role in five areas, he brings expertise to the department. He holds a P.E. and CPCU, having graduated from Texas A&M University.
Postell is the president of Post L Group, a Fort Worth-based construction company specializing in construction management. With over 25 years of experience, Postell transitioned from digging ditches to becoming an executive.
In 2023, he founded Building Pathways, an organization dedicated to increasing the construction industry retention rate through career development and personal growth. His work as chair of the Community Affairs Committee has provided opportunities for members of the Real Estate Council to make an impact in our industry and improve the lives of those entering the profession.
Montesi, chairman and CEO of Trademark, has 40 years of experience in real estate brokerage, management, development and advisory services. As founder of Trademark, he oversees innovative and community-focused developments across the country.
The council noted Montesi as the driving force behind Trademark’s collaborative, community-driven approach to commercial real estate.
“He has cultivated a company philosophy that is defined by creating meaningful customer experiences, collaborating with communities, and unlocking potential. Terry’s commitment to constant evolution and longtime support of the core tenets of Conscious Capitalism led him to create Trademark’s own conscious development model, The Conscious Place, setting the tone for a continued focus on experiential retail and vibrant mixed-use places.”
Trademark's more recent notable developments include Westbend and Waterside. In the pipeline are The Vickery and the redevelopment of Lincoln Square.
