City Place
Spire Realty Group has selected Citadel Partners to lead the leasing efforts of One City Place and Two City Place, the 19-story twin towers in downtown Fort Worth at 300 Throckmorton and 100 Throckmorton.
The two combined total 531,468 square feet.
Citadel Partners Market Leader Cullen Donohue and Market Principal Andy Goldston will manage the leasing efforts for the Class A office project.
“Spire has curated a true icon in downtown Fort Worth with City Place,” Donohue said. “This is a phenomenal project that we are enthusiastic about representing and we are ready to hit the ground running.”
The complex is on the site of the old Leonard’s Department Store. The buildings and complex are part of the redeveloped former Tandy Towers. The towers are mere steps away from Sundance Square, Bass Performance Hall, and the city’s most coveted retail, restaurant and hotel amenities.
“We see great potential for City Place tenants,” Goldston said. “As companies continue working to bring their employees back to the office, they are looking for space where their employees are eager to come to each day, enabling employers to create a positive company culture.”
Citadel Partners is a real estate advisory firm providing creative real estate solutions through its office and industrial occupier and asset services industry verticals. The firm has offices in Fort Worth and Dallas.
On-site at City Place are five restaurants, an Aloft Hotel, and full-service banking provided by Texas Capital Bank and CrossFirst Bank. Each building has its own conference center and fitness center with men’s and women’s locker rooms, showers and towel service, provided exclusively for building tenants.
“City Place is a special asset to us and a big part of downtown Fort Worth’s history,” said Jon Ruff, president and partner of Spire Realty Group. “We believe that City Place is a highly appealing choice for modern tenants seeking a distinct identity, and we look forward to partnering with Citadel Partners to showcase City Place as one of Downtown Fort Worth’s only true Class A office projects.”
City Place was originally built as the headquarters for Tandy Corporation and RadioShack in the mid-to-late 1970s. Between the two office towers, Tandy built an upscale retail shopping center with an indoor ice rink. The complex also integrated Leonard’s Department Store’s subway system, which transported customers to and from their vehicles. Spire Realty purchased the project in 2011 and continued renovations that had begun in 2006.
