The hotel is developed, owned, and managed by Raymond Management Co.
“We’re thrilled to be opening our new Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Worth Southwest in the Waterside location," Angela Wills, the hotel's general manager, said. "Our guests will enjoy strolling around Waterside and the Trinity Trails and to be able to shop, eat and relax with options to workout or be pampered at the nearby salons."
Waterside will be the second location of The Rim. Restaurant Brent Johnson, owner of Rio Mambo restaurants, and chef Keith Hicks opened the first location in 2019 in Burleson. The restaurant is designed in The Rim's "American Retro" aesthetic, which includes leather-wrapped columns, wood tones and quartz accents. The design will also integrate vintage automobiles, including an Airstream trailer and a 1964 Thunderbird.
Hicks' menu will include favorites such as chicken and waffles, fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. The menu will include a broad selection of seafood and steaks, and the restaurant will offer brunch on weekends, highlighting dishes such as stuffed French toast and tenderloin and eggs.
